The Itinerary

Start your 3-day getaway to the Central Coast with heading north of the Coast for a day of exploring and loving our lakeside towns. Wander through the bustling 'burbs of Norah Head, Long Jetty, The Entrance and Toukley for an adventure filled day.

Capture that obligatory tourist shot

Time and time again, Norah Head has proven to be THE spot to witness a sunrise here on the Central Coast. At dusk, watch the sun make an appearance behind the Coast’s icon; Norah Head lighthouse. You won’t want to miss snapping a shot in front of this beauty as the orange and pink hues light up the coastline behind you.

Find your zen

Add in a moment of downtime during your trip across the Central Coast. Connect with your soul and spirit and zen-out with a morning yoga or pilates session at Komuniti. The Entrance

Find balance on the lakes

With a region filled with over 80 kilometres of picturesque coastline, you won’t want to miss diving in and exploring. Hire a boat or stand-up paddleboard from The Entrance Boat Shed and find balance on the lakes. Tour through the channel and spot the local pelican population cruising by you. Once you head back to shore, make sure to pop round to Albie's Cafe and pick up a mouthwatering toastie and coffee. 

  

Long Jetty Foreshore

Visit THE Long Jetty

Continue your discovery of the waterways and head to the eclectic ‘burb of Long Jetty. Here you’ll find out why the town got its name! Sitting along the cusp of Tuggerah Lakes reside three jetties; Parry’s Jetty, Watkin’s Jetty and THE Long Jetty. Walk along the jetties before heading into the town centre for a shopping spree at Sadie Lou, Tiki La La and Plain Janes and grab some vintage gems from Webster’s Vintage and Gumnut Antiques.

  

The Beachcomber Hotel

Head further north for an evening at The Beachcomber Hotel, aka The Beachie, a slice of Miami-inspired charm right here on the Central Coast. Bringing a tropical theme to its façade, The Beachie invites you to kick back with a cocktail on the deck and make you feel like you’re in the middle of Miami.

Wake up and set out on an adventure through Bouddi National Park and take in panoramic views of the Central Coast, before heading for a surf and shop at Avoca Beach, exploring Woy Woy and surrounds and catching a sunset in Gosford.

If you’ve ever looked up ‘Best walking tracks on the Central Coast’, chances are Bouddi National Park’s Coastal Walk was number one, and there’s a good reason for that. Complete the 8-kilometre coastal walk between Putty Beach and MacMasters Beach, soak up the scenery at Gerrin Point Lookout. After your hike, head to Arnie's Coffee for a well-deserved pick-me-up. 

  

Avoca Beach

Surf's Up

The Central Coast has some of the best surfing beaches. Whether you’re a pro or a newcomer to the surfing world, Avoca Beach has got the perfect swell for you to catch some waves. If you’re a newbie, book in a lesson for you and your friend with Central Coast Surf School at Avoca Beach and you’ll be a surfing pro in no time. If surfing isn’t your thing, don’t stress! Avoca Beach is a great spot for soaking up the sunshine and taking a dip with friends.

After surfing at Avoca Beach, head into the town centre and go on a little shopping trail. In Avoca you’ll find a strip of boutique and homewares stores to meander through like boho homewares at Weekends Store, retro and eclectic finds at ABA Antiques and Wild Skye for coastal-inspired fashion.

  

Woy Woy

Explore Woy Woy and surrounds

Take a momento home to remind you of your trip to the Central Coast and book in a pottery class with Centered Ceramics. Afterwards, explore the beachy ‘burb of Woy Woy a little further north and grab one of the freshest seafood platters on the Coast at Woy Woy Fisherman’s Wharf. Indulge in fresh oysters and soak in the view on the deck.

Catch a sunset at Drifters

After an afternoon of shopping, it’s time to travel through to Gosford and visit this CBD’s go-to waterfront restaurant. Escape to Drifter’s Wharf, a stylish waterfront bar, boasting immaculate views of Brisbane Water, especially at sunset! Sit back on the Captain’s Deck and soak in the views and last glimmer of sunshine with your friends while you sip away on their signature cocktails and boogie to their live music and DJ sets on the weekends.

On the final day of your weekend with the crew, venture through the rolling hills of the hinterland, meet curious alpacas, go on a pick-your-own adventure and finish your evening with sips and seaside views in the beach 'burb of Terrigal.

You’ll want to jump out of bed for this experience. Head to the small hinterland town of Jilliby, and visit Iris Lodge Alpacas for a morning of coffee and cuddles with curious alpacas! Hand-feed their animal friends and finish off the morning with a delicious farm-style brekkie.

  

The Giving Farm

Harvest happiness one flower at a time

If you’ve ever wanted to pick your own fruit or flowers, make your way to The Giving Farm. A charming pick-your-own haven where you can harvest seasonal, vibrant blooms to add to your kitchen table such as dahlias, tulips, sunflowers and daffodils. Make sure to check The Giving Farm’s website to keep up to date with their produce availability.

  

Piles Creek Loop

Chase waterfalls across the hinterland

Next up, lose yourself in the magic of natural waterfalls and lush rainforest trails when you venture to Piles Creek Loop in Brisbane Water National Park. Spanning across 4-kilometres, this short but challenging trail will take you through an expanse of dry eucalyptus forest with steppingstones leading the way to the all-important suspension bridge and cascading waterfall.

  

Staples Lookout

Sweeping views of bushland and beyond

End your day at Staples Lookout for panoramic views of Brisbane Water National Park and beyond. Located at the top of Woy Woy Road near Kariong, this lookout is a great spot to see the sun set across the lush bushland of the Coast, and even see the tiny town of Woy Woy, right where you were the day before.

  

Terrigal Bars & restaurants

Night out on the town

Visit the popular town of Terrigal for a final night of delectable food and drinks for the soul.
Sitting along the Terrigal Esplanade is a sea of modern fusion restaurants and vibrant bars, all offering a glimpse of the rolling waves of the famous Terrigal Beach.
