Go west to experience the Central Coast Hinterland, a region bursting with fresh produce, wild walks, farm gate experiences and culinary adventures, and many creative studios. Explore the treasure trove of small towns as your meander your way on the Creative Journey trail.

The Itinerary

Nestled in the peaceful surrounds of hinterland you'll find artists hard at work in their studios creating glass works, silver keep sakes, sculptures and wood carvings. 

Shellie Christian Studio

9am-4pm, Fountaindale

Meet Shellie, a sculptor and ceramicist expressing a soul connection with the land through earth-inspired forms with natural elements found in the local bushland and coastline.

Location: 11 Manns Road, Fountaindale

  

Clare Peters Art Glass

10am-4pm, Fountaindale

Clare Peters Art Glass is a working and teaching studio nestled in the beautiful Fountaindale Valley. She has a passion for teaching, encouraging and supporting students to develop their own creativity and skill. Winning major national and international awards, Clare welcome you to her studio.

Location: 217 Peach Orchard Road, Fountaindale

  

Central Coast Lapidary Club Inc.

9am-2pm, Ourimbah

Come and explore this volunteer run space for silverwork, gems and minerals, beading, enamelling, carving, casting, and faceting enthusiasts. Skilled tutors provide opportunities to learn new skills and explore creativity in a friendly and social environment.

Central Coast Woodturners

Saturday 8am-4pm & Sunday 9am-4pm, Ourimbah

Meet the creators and see demonstrations by the Central Coast Woodturners which was formed in 1985 by a group of enthusiasts, to promote the art of woodturning and relative crafts such as scroll sawing, woodcarving, pyrography and toy making.

John Lynch Sculpture

9am-4pm, Lisarow

Meet John in his gallery and studio, and view his extensive collection of sculptures.  A sculpture for 40 years, you can expect to see works in a range of materials including sandstone, marble, timber, bronze, plaster, steel, concrete and paper.
