A new community dance class bringing joy, movement and connection to Kincumber

In a world where loneliness and disconnection are quietly on the rise, Let’s Dance Central Coast is a brand-new weekly dance class designed to bring people together in the most joyful, accessible way possible. Held at the Kincumber School of Arts from 10am every Tuesday starting on 29th April, this one-hour class offers a low-impact, all-inclusive dance session set to your favourite songs from the 60s to now… you can even sing along too!

Led by local creative producer and performer Kate, the class is thoughtfully designed with older adults and retirees in mind, though it’s open to anyone who wants to move, connect, and enjoy an hour of uplifting music and movement, no matter their age, experience or ability.

Kate has been dancing since the age of three, training professionally in London before spending over 20 years performing on stage and screen. Now based on the Central Coast, and with two small children of her own, she’s turned her passion for creativity into a tool for connection and wellbeing.

This class is about joy, with no pressure to be productive, competitive or perfect. It’s about moving your body in whatever way feels good, having a laugh, and sharing space with people who are just happy to be there with you. It has been carefully designed to be safe and gentle, yet uplifting and energising, which is ideal for older participants, or anyone looking to bring more movement into their life in a fun and low-pressure environment.

Each session is $15, or $50 for a 4-class pass. No experience is required, no bookings are necessary, and all you need is comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and a willingness to have fun.
